On Sunday June 7th Tobias will join his mate Uli Jon Roth's (ex-Scorpions) "Legends Of Rock" at Stazione Birra in Rome to raise funds for the victims of the recent earthquake in the region of the city of L'Aquila, which was largely destroyed. Tobias will share the stage with a variety of artists including Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray, ex-Helloween), Richie Kotzen (Mr. Big, Poison), Carl Palmer (Emerson, Lake & Palmer), Kee Marcello (ex-Europe), and various other artists.

"A few weeks ago Uli called me asking if I'd be available for a charity gig to raise funds for the numerous victims of that terrible asshole of earthquake. Well, that was not exactly what he said, but pretty much the quintessence. I have a terribly stressful schedule this year and at first I thought that it wouldn't really fit in my schedule. But then: This earthquake didn't really fit in anyone's schedule, and it was so terrible and brought so much pain to so many families. So, let's all go to Rome and have a great night, we'll jam a little, I'll sing songs I have never ever sung in my whole life and we'll have a good time - for a great purpose. We'll help those who desperately need it!!!"

Edguy's new live album/ -DVD "Fucking With Fire - Live" has entered the official Finnish album charts on #4. In Germany it went straight to position #35 of the official album charts. 

Good news for all Bulgarian Edguy fans: After the triumphant visit to Sofia during the Rocket Ride World Tour in 2007, Edguy will return to the city of Kaliakra on July 2nd to be part of Kaliakra-Rockfest amongst bands like Dream Theater, Mötley Crüe, the Scorpions, Blind Guardian and more...

Edguy’s first official full length DVD, the brand new „Fucking With Fire - Live“ has entered the German charts at position 35, an amazing result foa a live DVD, being the 3rd best chart entry of the week. The band feels very honored for and wants to thank their fans for the great support.

Wacken-Rocks-Festivals in Aurich and Rieden/Kreuth have been postponed by the festival promoters due to legal reasons. Edguy was originally scheduled to enter the stage May 22nd and 23rd. Wacken Rocks will now take place on the last weekend of August 2009. The Saarbruecken show of Edguy is also postponed to the 27th of August. The band apologizes although the decision was completely beyond their control.
