After touring and playing numerous shows as special guest of the Scorpions (Slovakia 2007, Bulgaria 2009, Germany 2010 & 2011), as well as Klaus Meine‘s and Rudolf Schenker‘s collaboration with Tobias for the Avantasia-project, the paths of Edguy and the Scorpions will cross again: Edguy have been invited as special guests for the show in Le Mans, France, May 28th.

After an amazing feedback to the FME-convention show of Edguy in February, 33.000 Finish Metal fans will have the opportunity to rock with Edguy again. On June 29 Edguy will play “Tuska“ festival in Helsinki.

Last Friday at a press conference German comedy star Bülent Ceylan and Edguy announced that Edguy will be special guest to Bülent for his special event at Commerzbank-Arena, Frankfurt on June, 2nd. Commented Edguy: “Via his management Bülent asked if we‘d be interested and crazy enough to be special guest of such an extraordinary event. It‘s an exciting challenge to go on prior to a stand up comedian, playing to 40.000 comedy fans in a football stadium. We won‘t try to be funny and do comedy ourselves, we‘rel rather gonna focus on kicking ass as a Heavy Metal act. Bülent had been performing as a comedian at Wacken Open Air last year, now it‘s time to change parts and take an in-depth look at his environment. We‘re ready and happy to be part of this venture.“ Another special guest will be Gotthard from Switzerland.

On June 16th Edguy will return to Clisson, France to rock the Saturday-night-spot with Guns 'n Roses and Within Temptation at the French Hellfest.

Edguy fans can look forward to an eventful year that lies ahead: Besides many confirmed (and many yet-to-be-confirmed) festival appearances of Edguy and a (yet-to-be) confirmed tour outside of Europe, another indoor tour can be announced for autumn. Along with Deep Purple, Edguy will rock the biggest arenas in Germany. The tour dates read as follows:
